Tension issue
Can anyone help me? I have a Viking Rose machine. The topmthread looks like a straight line, no dashes.....it's weird. I have a walking foot on the machine one, trying to machine quilt. The bottom thread is perfect. Ive never had this problem before. I did put a new needle in.....
thanks, ladies

Have you rethreaded the machine? Have you tried a different spool of thread and a different bobbin?
I had a problem with my Viking Quilt Designer II today and found out it was the bobbin. Looking closely I could see that bobbin had not been wound tight enough.

Sounds like a bobbin problem to me. The bobbin thread is not pulling the top thread into the middle of the sandwich. This could be from a poorly wound bobbin, from a bobbin that has not been inserted correctly, etc.
Also double-check that you have inserted the needle correctly.

I mean changed both the bobbin and needle, I'll try and rethread a new bobbin tomorrow and see if that works....ugh! It happen right after the bobbin was changed, I'll rethread another one. Nothing good ever happens when I'm frustrated, tomorrow is another day. Thanks....
