Default A quilt for my neighbors

I started this quilt for our neighbors two years ago. It's a super sized king that almost didn't fit on my longarm. The center is a stack and whack crazy patch that is tied. The outer boarders are the paths to each neighbor's house where I did meandering with words significant to each neighbor; hey doll, soup sandwich, deer; Fergus, cupcake, little dog; guinea, gardens, you're doing it wrong; and woodworker, best mom, pumpkins. In each corner is a house with a door and window that reflects the color of the shutters on each family's home. The back side is brown with a friendship braid off to one side.

We have an unusual neighborhood in that three neighbors on one side of the road and one family across from us make up a very tight, loving and protective "family". This quilt went to the "young" family across the street who has blessed us with three beautiful children to love.

Thanks for looking.
