Default 1970's Chicken Divan recipe

Do you happen to have my mom's recipe for Chicken Divan? It has some ingredients that I've never seen in a Chicken Divan sauce, which is the best part of the recipe!!!! Mom's contained cream of chicken soup, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese and mayonnaise. I think it also called for an alcohol ingredient like sherry, but mom never used it. There were maybe a couple more ingredients but I'm not sure. All I know is that I can't make this sauce taste right but I want to!!!! Please help if you can. Thanks!!!!

Campbells Soup Version

Me I like one like the top one. There is a restaurant chain in BC called White Spot. They serve it as Chicken Brocolli and Cheese. The small amount of curry powder really enhances the flavour.

I'd use a dry white wine instead of sherry.

Here's mine from the 70's--still on the same recipe card.
Chicken Divan-
6 chicken breasts-cooked--deboned
2 pks frozen broccoli-cook 6 minutes & drain
Mix 1 can cream of chicken soup with 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 teasp. curry powder, 1/2 teasp lemon juice. Pour over chicken. Top w/ 1/2 cup cheese. Top all with 1/2 cup bread crumbs toasted in 1 Tbs melted butter. Bake 350 for 30 min. Serves 6-8
I also save leftover roasted chicken and use instead of breasts, or use canned chicken. Never used sherry or wine--just never tho't of it, but I bet some dry white wine would be wonderful in the casserole....and in a glass!

Sounds yummy -- think I remember Mom making this. If you want an easy way to get deboned chicken, Costco in my area sells its roasted chicken meat in 2.5lb packages and it is wonderful. I measure out 1 cup of the chicken and put it in a zip bag and freeze it. Great flavor for the chicken.

My mom was a great cook - and the recipes above sound familiar but the one that I remember by name was Chicken- Ala - King. Not sure if that was the correct spelling, but I remember some places put green grapes in it and I was so grossed out by the grapes and wouldn't even taste them.
