Default Barnbum's Triple Irish Chains and Sampler quilt

Barnbum is a new grandma (A girl)! Congratulations Barnbum. And a new grandbaby means new baby quilts but she also made matching Triple Irish chain quilts for big sister and baby for when they are a little bigger. Perfect quilts for little girls, all of them.

The triple Irish chain, one has yellow focus fabric with blue and pink chain and the other has blue with yellow and pink chain, but other than that they are the same. Even the focus fabric is the same, just a different color way. BB chose a perfect panto called Hearts in Bloom and I quilted it out in King Tut Tiny Tuts color which had all the colors in the quilt.

Then for her new grand daughter she made the cutest sampler quilt with little girls enjoying summer in the focus fabric. I did cross hatching in those blocks and SID and a little FMQ in the sampler blocks. The daisy chain border motif is from Sue Heinz's book "Drawn to Mastery".

Barnbum's immaculate piecing, perfect fabric choices and pattern choices, then finished off with FFanatic's incredible quilting. makes for three special quilts for these DGDs!

Never thought about doing an Irish chain using children's fabrics. What wonderful cheery pretty quilts!

How adorable. Any of the 3 would make some little girls heart just go pitter patter. Your quilting is just beautiful. Perfect combination of color, piecing and quilting!
