    To all those that helped with suggestions - Thanks and here is the resulting project completed!

    Huge thanks to Mamaw - she suggested that I go ahead and use the Valdani Pearl Cotton suggested in the pattern. What a delight to use and the ease with which it sewed was wonderful. I did have to use regular embroidery thread on a couple of then and that was a pain. I used Fray check on the edges, the Steam a Seam 2 to place them and then hand stitched the edges. Can't wait to see Mamaw's finished wool applique!!

    Thanks - all and Sorry nursie76 the DS gave it to me as a Bday present - and I think he would be disappointed if I gave it away - :mrgreen: - maybe next time!! lol
