Default working on the appliqué quilt p.2

this morning started to lay out the next appliqué border. see pics, I think that the bright pink are too much? , and I am still not sure about the checkered border, it is too distracting? will be deciding on it later.
thank you for looking and your comments

I think this will be an exceptional quilt. I think the pink will be fine and won't stand out as much when you have more of the quilt done.

It's looking good. I like the checkerboard in contrast to the soft flow of flowers

I love both sections of your quilt and do like the two together very much. I wonder if adding a narrow solid between the two sections would ease the transition - not sure what color might work best but was thinking of one of the blues or the pink. Love what you have thus far and looking forward to seeing more as you progress.

Fabulous! The pink gives it the "pop" factor!

Liking what I see so far. You are doing a great job and the colors are working really well together. Also the checkered border really adds to it, sure wouldn't change it!
