Oops! I didn't see the second version before I made my comment. I really like the red border-it really complements that nice star center.

Since it bothers YOU, change it. You are the one who has to looks at it, and it will bug you if you don't replace it.

I would leave it!! I think I always have some sort of mistake in my quilts. No one seems to notice! Guess us quilters are tough judges when it comes to looking at our work. Of course...once I make a mistake, I try real hard to make sure it never happens again.

Are you keeping it? If yes, and you'll see it all the time and it will bother you, then by all means fix it. If no, then don't worry about it!

That is a really neat design block, by the way! Nice job!

I've never made a quilt where I didn't piece the border. I see what people are talking about the plaid not matching. If I had enough material to match the plaid I would. If I didn't then I'd let this go. By the time all is said and done it won't be that noticeable.
