Purple Double Slice Layer Cake
I just finished this quilt top, a Double Slice Layer Cake from Jenny at Missouri Star. There is a video on it, if you are interested.
I have discovered that I am very fond of this pattern. I had made many quilts from this pattern in the past for charity, but earlier this month I finished one for me in blue. I just loved it. So I made another in purple. I love it too. I have enough fabric left over to make Hot Rod, the quilt inspector, his own smaller version. It will fit in his basket here in my sewing room.
The layer cake was a Christmas gift. Normally I just cut 10 inch squares from my stash, but the layer cake sure made it go together faster! For a long time I have been on a "Bargello spree" but I think I am on a spree of Double Slice Layer Cakes. I already have fabric to make two Quilts of Valor.
