Default Oops

I am constantly amazed at my ability to make new quilting mistakes. I am back trying to catch up on my scrappy blocks when I noticed I had somehow sewn this strip with 2 darks layered instead 1 . Now that is just silly and I don't know how I missed it!

Oh I have done that myself. only it was a friendship star block
and it was the center square that was doubled.

Of course I didn't catch it until I had sewn all other pieces to the
center square.

Often when they stick together, we easily miss it.

Join the club! I do that so often that I don't even rip them apart now. I just cut carefull the extra or I leave it in. A dark fabric is especially easy to do.

Mistakes happen and as long as we can laugh at ourselves for doing it, its okay. I just noticed I put a neutral fabric backwards on a block I was working on, even had it trimmed and hadn't noticed it till I went to add the next strip. So frogged the 1st piece, cut a new piece to replace it and went on my merry way. Just glad I caught it before I'd added the rest of the strips. Lets face it...........it happens to the best of us one time or another.

Must be something in the air! I did that twice last week! I noticed right away though because I had precut units for a certain amount of blocks and suddenly I was missing a square. Yup two sewn on one piece.

You should be happy if that's the first time you've done it. I've done it before - several times.

I really hurts when you do it and can't figure out why you are short that one piece!
