Hi everyone,
I am embroidering a baseball cap . I have the babylock Ellisimo Gold embroidery machine. I would like to know what stabilizer to use? I do not have a cap hoop. I just want to use my regular hoop that came with my machine. I use Floriani stabilizer. There is a wet gone or heat gone maybe I can use this.

you need a sticky stabilizer like perfect stick, there are hat hoop inserts on etsy for around 25 bucks that work well

check out Embroidery Library- they have all sorts of videos on different fabrics and items, very useful

You need a very stiff tear away if the cap isn't stretchy, a cutaway if it is. If the design isn't too big and the cap isn't too curvy, you can get it in a hoop.

don't forget to ck the direction of the design.

To do a cap you will need a cap hoop and sticky binding for it to turn out. The caps are usually too round to fit in a regular hoop. If you try to put it in a regular it may bind up your machine or for sure break a lot of needles.

Make sure your design is digitized to stitch from the center out. Stitching from right to left or left to right will distort the cap. I would hoop sticky stabilizer, use a medium cut away inside the cap, and use the basing stitch on your Elisimo to hold the cap down.

Hi,
I did get the hat hoop from the person that sales it on their website. I really like it. I used it for 8 caps for my son-in-laws business. It was fun. Thanks for the information.
