I hate the taste of bisquick along with the expensive price, however it does have a convience factor to it so her is a recipe that not only tastes 1000000 times better it is way less costly. Use this as you would any recipe calling for bisquick or any biscuit mix.

Biscuit/bisquick Mix

10 cups all purpose flour (10 cup is about a 5 lb bag)
2 cups shortening
1/3 c baking powder
1/4 c sugar
1 tbsp +1 tsp salt

in a large bowl blend everthing with a pastry blender cutting in the shortening so it looks the sizes of small peas. store in an air tight container. last for months in the fridge and forever if it is frozed. when ready to use give it a quick stir and measure it lightly DO NOT pack it into the measuring cup.

Cool, will have to try this out. I made biscuits and pancakes all the time.

Thanks for the recipe - it is cold out today so I am going to try them for dinner tonight. Have a great week-end.
