It is a quilt from the Elm Creek Quilters series of books. I haven't looked at it for a while, but if I remember, it was quite a spectacular quilt. The pattern is available in book form, I think.

It's a quilt of 144 - 6" blocks - no pieced border or anything except normal borders.

There is a group on Connecting Threads - Quilt With Us - called "Darleen's Slackers" I think there is more to the name, but anyway, they are doing the Bridal Sampler as a quilt-along like we are doing DJ. I think they decided DJ was a bit too much. :-) There are also a DJ group and a Paper Piecing group, along with a boatload of other groups.

Oops! there are only 140 blocks!

Here is the link to the Sampler. It lists and shows all 140 blocks & their names.

Thanks for the link Kathy and your DJ is gorgeous! You should be very proud of yourself. I have only 38 more blocks and tris to finish and it's getting exciting. Acually 42 more if I count the kites.

thanks I looked at the Sylvia, it is pretty .. I think tho that the next one I will do is the Dear Hannah. Havent made up my mind yet,and I have plenty of time as I am running a little behind right now with the DJ. I am only on week 37. I think I will finish that week today.

You and Patti seem to be within spitting distance now - keep going you are doing well.

No, a Sylvia doesn't appeal to me having done this one, it seems too similar for me, and I would like a change.

I know I'm a bit slow...but you have to understand that my library here is TINY!! So..I just started reading the Elm Creek series. I really like the Sylvia...Its an idea thats been floating around. I don't know. First I have to finish my pile of tops that need quilting and make all my swap block quilts...so there will be a huge break between my Jane and whatever project I decide to try.

I havent gotten to read all of the Elm mysteries. my library doesnt have them and they are so exspensive for my budget ,I just get to buy one infrequently. I surely do enjoy them tho. got week 37 done today.
