Janstar, you did have a bit of sense ripping it off as you went, I left myself with some 70 blocks to do,
NOT fun. It does make a mess as well, but its done.

I have left the paper on the blocks until I did my hand quilting of the individual blocks like Lesley did. I like the stability, and as I am doing them slowly, this just makes sense to me.

Icandothat....I used a really cheap "tracing paper" that I found in a tablet in the Art section at Walmart. It is by Mead and called Academie Tracing Paper. It comes in a tablet with 40 sheets..is medium weight. I think I paid $2.68 for it...I think.... Anyway..I do trim it to 8 1/2" x 11" and then just run it through the printer. It works just great!

I recently took all the paper off of all my blocks...now I'm taking the paper off as I go. I think its just whichever way you want to go..doesn't matter...its messy whenever you do it.

you can buy either the software or the book although i prefer the software.

then you just decide on a color scheme or to go scrappy then start sewing to your hearts content.

there are lots of ladies here who will be happy to answer any questions that might pop into your head.

come join the fun.

Hi MrsTackett, the DJer's are always ready to help and are an encyclopedia of wonderful knowledge. I got hooked on DJ then had to wait for the book and software to arrive so spent many many hours reading through all the posts. It's great fun,
