Mary, thanks for posting the link to the tut. They seem easy to make, and i love prairie points. them and yo yo's seem to dominate my ornament making. I'll start them soon for next chrstmas. i could see them out of red and white starlight candy colors. or just red and white to look like a starlight. they can get addictive. Might just have to make a crop of them myself.

I received ornaments from mizmelly, could not post until today: lookie here! Adorable reindeer with candy cane ornaments for horns, PLUS a beautiful prairie star... I took closeups of the center fastenings...perfect & gorgeous.
Thank you so much - they shall command a nice front & center spot on my tree when it goes up.

I'm glad you liked my ornaments, K-Roll! The reindeer was originally intended as a candy cane holder, but I hated the thought of the candy canes breaking or just aging because they don't get eaten. So when I found those candy cane ornaments at the dollar store, I had the proverbial "epiphany". I must have made about 20 of those this year, and sold a few at a craft sale. The rest go on gifts for my friends this year!

Great ornaments posted everyone. I even see a few from the ornament of the day that were made.
Right now we have three ladies on the bench that I know of. To you I am so sorry that you did not have an ornament to open. I have sent PM's and will hopefully have this all figured out by the end of the week.
If you have not received and ornament, and are not one of the three I am already I contact with please PM me right away so I can investigate.
Also, please be sure to PM your swap partner to let them know you received your ornament. Also, don't forget about that feedback button. Many people who run swaps use that information when looking at people who want to join the swap. I know this is something I will pay more attention to next year.
This was my very first time running a swap. All and all it was a fairly positive experience for me and I hope you will welcome me back next year as your hostess. But there are a few things I did learn from doing this and definitely room for improvement.
Here is what I did learn in doing this:
1) Begin signups earlier
2) Move the close date up so people have more time to make their ornaments
3) Move up the International deadline. Seems like it just takes too long from the US to overseas
4) Move the mailing deadline up also. That way if I need to find an angel I can and the person will receive an ornament on time for opening.
If anyone has any other suggestions for me please do not hesitate sending me a PM. I would also like to hear what you liked, and didn't like. Any suggestions for 2017?
This is a great swap and I want everyone to have fun. I hope you will all return next year. Keep this page bookmarked and when I put out the signup I will be sure to post a link here.
