This didn't turn out quite like I was hoping - so I'll have to mess around with the design before doing another (though that may be after it snows LOL!!)

Found two mistakes once it was hung up, so I'll fix them before it's quilted. I'll add borders to make the outside of the walls, that may help a lot in the 3D look.

Over all - a good distraction from the stresses of work. I'm tired, but a lot more relaxed than I was on Friday.

I like it, Cathy! Definitely looks 3-D. I think I'd lose my mind trying to make one, tho. You did well.

I'm quilting a Japanese lanterns quilt that I will turn it tomorrow night (for donation). If I can get it done before the end of the day, I'll show it here.

Hi y'all, I've stopped by for a snack break -- 4pm here -- and I brought chocolate for everybody! Have a piece. Or 2 or 3! (Doncha wish!)

It's great seeing the pictures of everyone's progress, inspiring. Lots of good work being done this weekend. It's nice to have such a long one this time.

I'm working on my 5th quilt since getting back into the studio -- three I showed here, (darn blurs) one I can't put my hand on at the moment (you know, put away so carefully I can't find it now!), and this last one I'm just going to have to leave un-photographed as that cell phone camera is so poor. It's 3" x 12" strips of the most geometric/contemporary prints I found in my stash, 36 of them, pieced into 12" blocks of four strips, with two opposite corners snowballed with 6" sqs. of more contemporary fabric. It's very busy! But also bright and a good record of these kinds of prints. It'll make someone happy at least.

Back to work!

I'm enjoying hand quilting this afternoon on an owl baby quilt. I never did get to my McKenna Ryan owl quilt that is fused. I did get my 5th bear appliqué kitted up so I can take it to quilting day tomorrow with my group.
It is so great to see pictures from everyone's projects, thanks for taking the time to post them.

Been so busy, I just noticed this!
I've been working on what I call my "Picnic" quilt, because for some reason it reminds me of a quilt you'd take along on a picnic. Have all the serpentine done in the white strips, now I am going to FMQ flowers in the coloured strips.
I'm also working on a Hallowe'en wall hanging for work. So far I've got two little monsters ready to applique. 3 more to go and then the fence. (The orange guy still needs feet.)

This is so much fun. I'm getting the binding on an earlier group of 6" blocks, watching Rizzoli & Isles reruns.
