Yes - I like how they look together as you have in the original picture.

I agree with everyone else-I think the black would be very striking with the colors you have chosen. Black will make your fabrics "pop". You might want to audition several fabrics to see which one you prefer. What I do is lay them all on a bed and look at it or walk by for a couple of days and see which fabric really makes me feel it is the right one. Good luck and please share a picture of your progress.

I would throw in a teal color with it.

I like the idea of a grey. You could audition in light, medium, and dark to see how they would look.

I think the grey would be a softer look than black.

Love your fabrics. The triangle pattern quilt is fine with no sashing, as is the block quilt shown. However, IMHO if you just want to use a border or wish to add size to your quilt by doing so . . . I would use some shade of gray . . . but definitely not white NOR black. IMHO both these would overwhelm the softness of the color palette you have chosen. Your eye will tell you (or if it made you feel more confident another quilter with a "good" eye) what shade of gray would look nice. Whatever you choose, I'm pretty sure it will be very pretty. Hope we get to see the finished product

I think I'd go for a pale silvery gray for the background/sashing. I do love your color choices and think it will be a wonderful quilt.

I agree with Watson, the third up on the right would not shout purple, but would blend nice with all the fabrics
