10 sets are cut and sorted. I included an extra square in each package, just in case.
Oh! Forgot to mention: I'm perfectly fine with jaba's neighbor swapping again.
Regarding the background color, I, too, have never heard that "rule" before, even though I've been quilting for a long time. I've always considered that the color the fabric "reads" is what color it "is", but to each her own. I do like the 80% rule for this swap, and like that our options aren't "set in concrete". I guess that makes me a rebel, too!

Yay! Long live the Rebels! LOL
I have received packages from JLT, Mel in AZ, Jaba, and Jaba's neighbor.
My husband asked....Just what the heck are you all ordering from Amazon lately? LOL.....Very deadpan I said "fabric". I thought the man groaned as he turned away shaking his head. Such a good sport he is! LOL

Rules? We don't need no stinkin' rules!! Quilting is creative, artistic, open to individual interpretation, and just plain fun!
there, that's my $.02 half-baked philosophy. It's served me well over the past 20+ years that I've been quilting! And I will proudly show you my teeny mistakes when I "bent" those unspoken rules too!

okay...found my 15 purple fabrics...count me in for 10 sets.
thanks Red..... I hoping that doing these color swaps will get me organized. Or maybe I will just invite Jaba to come to my house and HELP!

Welcome, Barb! We've collected a nice group
I think it would be a blast to have a round-robin and visit everyone's sewing havens. Logistically I know it is impossible (I personally don't have unlimited funds), but boy would it be fun!
