Default PFAFF 2036 parts

Hello,I am working on a Pfaff expression 2036 machine And I find that the one of the main IC chips on the Display/control board is burnt apart. The number on the back of the board is PFaFF 92-329 920-91.Would anyone know where to get this board or info is available?I can do circuit board repair and know a bit about electronics.Any help at all would be much appreciated.

I Googled Pfaff 2036 circuit diagrams and pulled up a few, but they are probably not what you need. You might want to try contacting Pfaff support: http://www.pfaff.com/Support-and-Updates/Support

When we get a Pfaff with a burnt circuit board, we send our customers to the Pfaff dealer, who tells them he can't get the part. Maybe you've got a more congenial Pfaff dealer near you. But from what I've seen, the parts on a Pfaff become obsolete pretty quick. You might have some luck on Ebay.

Try the Yahoo group WEFIXIT. A couple people there know Pfaff people who repair the circuit boards.

Can you find the chip? If you are handy with a soldering iron you can probably replace just the chip.
