Default Rag Quilt

Ready to sew it into rows and finished rag quilt.

This rag quilt I used 4 layers;
1) top layer printed square
2) 2nd layer solid color fabric
3) warm and natural batting
4)bottom layer solid color fabric

I used the AccuQuilt Studio 8" rag square, for batting and top printed square 6 1/2 " square.

I used fancy sewing stitching around edge of square about 1 1/2" in and hand sewed the center of each square with a variety of buttons.

Now I'm ready to put it all together.

Going to be very Pretty and Bright. How did you attach the 6 1/2 sq. to the 8 1/2 sq.? Would like to see the finished quilt!

Sewed buttons in center and did fancy stitching around it as seen in each block.

Thank you.

I don't like doing the X in center of rag quilts so with each one I design I usually do some type of fancy stitching. I'm about to experiment doing free style quilting on each block soon on some others I plan to do.

A rag quilt does not have to look boring with an X in center. We can be creative and do other things to make it one of a kind.
