If you have minky scraps from making a quilt, here is an idea for you....place a strip of minky in the middle of a cloth diaper and sew around 4 sides. ( Before sewing you can embroider or applique a shape if you wish.) I like that you don't have to fuss with raw edges to turn under as with cotton fabric. Another option if you have a large enough piece is to make the burp cloth shape using a backing, I used flannel. They work well when babies begin to teeth to catch the drool.
