Default Cover for kitchen aid mixer

If you made a cover for your kitchen aid mixer, did you buy a pattern or improvise ?

I have the large raise the bowl one. I don't cover it. I consider it kitchen jewelry. The colors of the mixers seem like gem stones. Have you seen the new Kitchenaid Mini? Perfect for smaller kitchens, those that don't make large batches, and much lighter in weight.

I had a very ugly clear-ish plastic cover that I used as a rough template for mine. I didn't take it apart, just did a few key measurements and then drew templates on freezer paper. The plastic cover was too big in every direction so I shrank it down a bit - mine is still a touch too long but it definitely looks so much better than that hideous plastic thing!

I just saw a pattern on another site. Will try to save and store the address:
http://pinoyinoz.blogspot.com/2010/1...itchenaid.html
Hope you can get to it, not for non-sewers but very nice.
It was on FaveQuilts.com , Heart of Mary: Mini Tutorial, if that helps any.

Made my own pattern. Not sure how to explain it though.
