Thanks for the compliments. I'm glad you all liked the Bible!

Lovely batch of blocks, Hav4... I haven't seen a bad block in this swap, yet!

Well, you all know how much I love to cut my fingertips off... Last night I managed it again! Only it was my left thumb and it happened in the kitchen with a big chopping knife while making salad. Again, I replaced the missing piece and wrapped it tightly, using xeroform gauze, (the magic ingredient.) I probably should have rested that hand last night, but I sewed a block and did some crochet on an afghan instead. I was up for hours in pain that kept me from sleeping. So I don't know how much sewing I will do today... more like napping!

It doesn't pay to work too fast in the kitchen, with a sharp knife.

Sewbiz, the way you "grow" your appendages, makes me believe you are part geko! lol Rest yourself and your hand, plenty of time to sew and crochet later.

h4b, your blocks are cool, I especially love the one for bluelady that fussy cut center almost looks dimensional.

Just wonderful Sewbiz!! I'm thinking I might not use these blocks for the outside of my Carpenter Star and make these into its own quilt. I'm Loving them all!! That bible is so awesome! Stay out of the kitchen!! LOL

Block for Jaba #1 of two.
I have the other two cut up, but did not get to them yet. Hopefully will be a productive weekend. We shall see, hubby wants me to go to lunch with him and waste another three hours in same town. Uh, he does not get it. I can sew now, let me please.

LOL Maybe so!

Really, it's that xeroform gauze! It's infused with vaseline and iodine, so the little 'piece' wont stick to it and the iodine works wonders for healing. So great for wound care. After I put on a generous piece of xeroform, I cover it with plain gauze and then that stretchy stuff they use to hold a cotton ball against your vein after a blood draw. I make that tight so there's compression on the little piece, holding it against the wound. Then I cover all that with cloth tape. It works so well for geckos like me!
