Default One block wonder - layout option

Here's what I have done so far. I decided to add some hexie cubes and I really like them in there! I now have to step back and line them up better. I do have extra blocks to make sure it all works out ...

Comments? Suggestions?

I'm wide open LOL

I think only like the cubes on the right side. The others detract from the hexies. I hope I don't sound mean.

both your hexies and hexie cube blocks are gorgeous--but with the lay-out all my eye wants to see is a giant Y--what happens went you mix in those hexie cubes scattered around? or maybe arrange so it looks like the green line is cutting at a diagonal across the bottom right corner and the purple/blue a diagonal across the opposite corner?

I think the dark purple OBW's need to move down around the purple steps, maybe mostly to the right? That might reduce the "Y" effect.

It is fun to watch your postings for this quilt. I really like the transitions you post and your apparent openness to the comments of others. We all admire what you are doing with the OBW. Thanks for taking us on your journey. Keep up the great work.

I am sorry to be negative, but all I see is the Y in the center. It just seems to dominant and your other lovely blocks seem lost. Maybe you have two quilts here?

Thanks for the tips. I don't want two quilt LOL ... I 'm trying to find a way to mix the cubes in with the hexies!
