Default Help Identifying Please

I知 hoping someone on here can help me identify my new to me sewing machine as there are no identifying marks on it at all. It has beautiful mother of pearl inlay.

I'm sorry I can't help you with any ID but just wanted to say it's a gorgeous machine and I'm very envious! Congrats on the new beauty.

German Vintage Machines and Their Ingenious Features may help. it is a transverse shuttle machine. likely German Kohler, Saxony, and Vesta are possibilbities. Here is my Fristner and Rossman

Your fiddlebase is beautiful. Gently pulling the far left slide farther left may expose the shuttle for you. you may have to gently turn the handcrank at the same time. Did I mention be gentle??

It appears very similar to a Hengstenberg, based on shape of head, additional screw on arm side of nose end, the release on the front of the bed, and the additional slide plate on the front of the needle. I'm basing that on http://needlebar.org/cm/displayimage..._display_media I couldn't find decals like yours. From what I read, it is possible that it may have been a "badged machine." It also looks like a badge could have been removed from above the bobbin winder on the pillar.

You might try taking a picture with flash. Sometimes that will show what you can't see just looking at it or pictures without flash.

Here is another one that would support Janey's opinion http://needlebar.org/main/germants/hengstenberg2/index.html

Very rarely are these machines dated.

Default Lady Just Gave Me A Singer

This machine was just given to me and I've been trying to identify it. It looks like a 66-16 but I'm not sure. The cabinet looks very odd too.
