Default pet mats for food and water

Our daughter and son-in-law asked me to make some mats to help protect their hardwood floors from their slobbery dogs and neat puddy tat. LOL! I found fabric that matches each pet's collar and used double batting to help absorb the water. I made two of each so that they have extras while some are in the wash. Our daughter chose the embroidered designs. I just did simple stippling and loop-da-loop free motion as the bowls will cover most of the mats. They measure 12.5" x 20." She asked for black binding but I decided to change it to the polka dot binding to give the mats some fun. It will be interesting to see what she thinks of it! Small projects are fun in-between making large quilts!

Very fancy! My son just uses a boot tray under the dishes.

Thank you! Yes, Daisy is the cat, the boss of the pets. Oakley and Poppy are puppies while Lilly is about six years old. It's quite a household! LOL!

Very nice work. Love the color! I backed mine with a plastic tablecloth so the water can't touch the floor.
