Default quilting "boxes of strings" ?

I have finished the top of "boxes of Strings". I looking for suggestions on how to quilt it. I have a LA. I like to free-motion feathers, teardrops, flowers, leaves, swirls, etc. But I do not do ruler work. Or at least I don't like to do it as it is so tedious. However, if I get that as the response that it would be best for this pattern I might have to try. Thank you in advance if you make a suggestion.

An all over swirly pattern would be fine. Sometimes with all the straight lines curvy quilting really adds to it.

Sent you a PM but since you like to quilt feather, I think a row of feathers following the chevrons of the strings would be beautiful.

    I was thinking the same.
Curves, via feathers or otherwise could work well.

However, I don't know the "Boxes of Strings" pattern, so if you would show us a photo,
I and others may have different thoughts as to what might work well.

FMQ all over is almost always my quilting design. I just do a meander, no fancy designs for me.

I finished two "box of strings" earlier this summer and I did "wavy quilting" and it complemented the geometric look of the blocks well. I would do this again. It was fast, did not hide the beauty of the fabrics and a good exercise for me to learn a new simple technique.
