Default White Rotary Model 77

I took apart the bobbin winder assembly on a white Rotary 77 machine to clean it. I took it apart not realizing the whole assembly comes off after removing one screw. I put it back together, but I think I've done something wrong because the spring doesn't seem to be working the way its supposed to. Any of you White Rotary 77 owners out there able to take a pic of yours? I know, I know. I should have taken a before picture. Kicking myself now. But it came apart so easy...

Lori, I was hoping someone with a 77 would answer. I do not have a 77, I know that some of the springs on bobbin winders are hard to get back on, even with pictures of how they are supposed to go. It has been a while, but they generally have the the ends wrap around a notch of some sort, and then have to squeeze to fit in the other end. Sometimes one end goes into a hole and other end wraps around something. I did find a picture of a 77 bobbin winder http://www.thriftyfarmgirl.com/users...01_2270870.jpg and see one end on the right wrapped around a tab. I can't tell if it the other end is held behind the rusty screw to the left of the larger arm. I don't see a spring in your picture, so don't know if that is the type of spring you are referring to.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

I thought I had a77 but it turned out to be a 153. Not sure if these will be helpful.

Thank you, LeonF! And i agree. it was that spring that was giving me fits. I finally wrapped a rag around the arm and put it in a vise to give me a third hand. Had I known the whole assembly came off I would have done that, cleaned it in tact, and put it back on. But since this is how we learn I can tell you that, at this point, spring loaded ANYthing is going to be photographed or videoed in the future
