Default I need to sew faster...

This has been in progress for 5 years. I have been intimidated to quilt it, but my other tops are completed, so it’s time to take the plunge! Kentucky Log Cabin by Judy Martin.
Any suggestions for the dark halves? I don’t want to overquilt this, and the motif won’t show very well on the dark fabrics anyway.thank you!

The quilt is lovely! Maybe just do more of the same unless you think it will not show up.

Beautiful quilt. I made that pattern up with browns and fall colors. I packed it away and don't remember what the quilting design was. Sorry. Love your fabrics you used.

I think straight lines along the lengths of the green "ribbons" would emphasize the woven effect and contrast nicely with your lovely feathers.

Before I scrolled down and saw your post this is exactly what I was thinking. Straight lines to emphasize the woven effect.

Hit enter to quick! I also wanted to comment what a beautiful quilt this is. You did a wonderful job on this.

Lovely quilt! I would repeat the feathers in the light sections in the dark sections. A nice feather rope in the green border.

Thanks all...i switched to a green 40 wt thread ad stitched a long curved spine in the green diagonal line-didn’t see those diagonals until i looked at these pictures! The green feathers are giving some mire texture and do not overwhelm the design.

I don't have any advice about how to quilt it, but I wanted to tell you what a lovely quilt it is.
