Very nice coasters and gifts for those who attend your quilt show.

I never saw a quilt show with favors! That is a really fun idea. Are these mug rugs?

Thanks for the idea. We've been toying with ideas for increasing attendance, maybe this is another little incentive.

I went to my first show with favors in October. What fun! They gave us a scissor holder which I use and love. Cute coasters NaN!

We do favors sometimes. A charm or two in a roll with directions for making something with them. Several times we gave small mug rugs or wine glass coasters or potholders. Last year they got a rug and a mug. Lots of people have extra mugs around. We have about 20 members and we have about 300 gifts on hand.

I have only gotten "favors" when I entered a quilt in the show. They incorporated a quilted scissor holder as part of the quilt tag that gives viewers all the info on the quilt. I have never received a favor as a spectator at any show I have attended.

I have been to shows where baskets with lots of goodies were raffled off but you had to buy tickets. This same show (Empire quiltfest) also had a couple of random drawing baskets for quilt entrants where they randomly drew a winner from the first time entrants.

Applique that was a pretty disturbing story about your guild members getting up and leaving when they found out they were making the pin cushions as a give away for a guild event and they weren't getting the freebie! Wow, just wow, shocked that they were so selfish.

Hi Applique, I sure know what you're talking about. I also provided everything to make a project. By the time I finished explaining how much fun we were going to have making the project everyone was gone. Now that I'm thinking about it, that happens to me a lot..................
