Default Green Almonds

Yesterday, I hiked down the hill to check on our 2, young, almond trees. One had partially blown over from the recent storm. We propped the tree back up and I found some green almonds on the ground, so I scooped them up and sliced them open to see how they looked inside. They were very white inside and soft and jelly-like in the middle. Of course, I went online to see what that was all about and it turns out that green almonds are a delicacy in many parts of the world...even in my own CA. Who knew? Anyone else ever tried them?
