Default Garage Sale

Our friends went to a garage sale, and the young ladies whom were looking after their parents estate did not know the value of some of their items. My friend picked up this machine in next to new condition and brought it to me as they said it didn't work. I rethreaded the sewing machine and voila it works perfectly. The machine and case are in next to new condition, and I knew my friend was not interested in sewing, however she knew I was interested. A year later, she called me and said they were moving into an apartment as they had sold their home and would be travelling and wanted to know if I would like this machine. I am absolutley delighted to have received this beauty. In exhange I made her a long table runner for her new dining room table and surprised her with it when she arrived with the machine.

I am not sure if you know this but, you can go to the singer.com site and find out where and when the machine was made. The birth date. You just put in the registry machine number and it will tell you. Mine just like this one (from my mother passing) was made in 1954 in Portsmouth.

It looks like both of you were blessed in this deal! This machine should bring you many years of pleasurable stitching. The table runner is beautiful.

Very nice looking sewing machine. It looks practically new. You and your friend are both winners-you for getting the machine and her for getting a beautiful table runner.
