Tension issue or what??
#1
I hope someone out there can understand what I'm about to describe and with any luck provide ideas as to what I am doing wrong. I recently purchased a Janome 1600 P QC. I have it set up on a Little Gracie II frame and after quilting a 60 x 70 quilt, I had varying degrees of tension problems. So, I did some research on that and found some interesting ideas which have now been put to use. I just finished a practice run on my next "victim", the upper thread tension seems to be good but the bobbin thread is not laying right. This is where I hope I can explain it: I don't have loops per-say but there is obvious looseness. Would this be indicative of the bobbin case being too loose? I sure hope this makes sense. And thanks for all that respond.

i have that same machine and when i bought it they set all the dial are set on 3. there are three places you can see
numbers and they are all set at 3 and they told me i should use so fine # 50 thread. so i bought some of that
and it is the only thread i use on it. when i quilt i take out the feed dogs. i actually just keep the feed dogs out. that is
all i use the machine for
