Default Latest QOV - Andrew's Stars

I just finished the binding on this one. It's a simple scrappy pattern that I think is very effective for a Quilt of Valor. My friend Andrew cut the kit out and passed it along to me.

If you go to Houston, look for Andrew and his Iwo Jima quilt. It is an amazing quilt - 12,100 pieces - and has gained him a lot of recognition in the quilting world. He started quilting as a way to deal with PTSD. He started making QOV and now he's a quilting force. He wants to use his platform to raise awareness for people with PTSD and for QOV.

This is Andrew's quilt hanging in the local quilt show. It is booked to be in several more venues in the next year.

I wish him well in this endeavor. I have a 40-year-old son who suffers with PTSD. Not something to wish on anyone.

We had Andrew as a speaker at our guild and again at our assembly day. He had the Iwo Jima quilt with him. He lives local here and I am sure we will get to see more of his works. Amazing
