A pattern never goes out-of-date! Look at Grand mothers flower garden! Use all your patterns.

Since I love 30’s and Civil War reproduction quilts I don’t think a quilt ever goes out of style! Your Twister is lovely!

I don't think any patterns are outdated. Just think of all the old patterns we still use and love!
You twister quilt is awesome! I have the template and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder.

I don’t think it is passé. Like everyone else, I like the feel of movement. Especially the wavy quilting lines. Thanks sharing.

not passé. I haven't used my ruler yet
I absolutely love the seasonal ones, so cute. Not sure anything quilt-wise goes out of style, it all just gets reinvisioned.

I agree with the others, not outdated. Only some of us who are quilters follow the trends and know what's current. Outside the quilting world, not so much.

I do have sort of a funny story to tell. I have quilts planned on my bucket list that have taken years for me to get the skills or the fabrics or the time. Way back when I first started quilting (so early 80s), I wanted to do a Houndstooth. Never saw one in person, not at a show, not in a book, just the pattern block. So about 20 years later I was finally ready to get started and M'liss Rae Hawley came out with her Fat Quarter book and there it was and so I took it off my list. I was telling my friend at quilt guild the story and the lady in front of us was cracking up -- turns out it was M'liss who was our featured speaker.

I ended up making the top about a year or so ago (so another 20 years), after all this time nobody knows or cares the story!
