    Default Items for sale

When I first started reading the Quilting Board, I always enjoyed the Items for Sale, and sometimes bought things. Now there is nothing new posted there. Why? If the rules are now stricter, could they possible be made less restrictive?

Good question. I remember that when I was here about 10 years ago under a different name (couldn't log on so had to change my name).
I bought things here. Maybe Nan or Patrice can answer this.

Some of the best sellers moved to facebook I think. I don’t do Facebook.

Restrictive rules and price control. That killed it. There are many great groups on Facebook, tho. I buy and sell a lot of fabric there.

the rules are strict for many very good reasons.
they are not what "killed" the section.
it thrived for a long time with the eligibility and price limits.

when we started it there were no other places online for people to sell off excess fabric, used items no longer needed, etc.
there are now many such places.

    we are not a marketplace.
we have never been a marketplace.
we will never be a marketplace.

the thrift shop was an extra that might no longer be as unique or useful as before.
