Default College quilt and birthday quilt

Not sure if I shared the Cornell College quilt, so will share now, it is machine pieced and hand quilted for a grandson,
The 2nd pic. is another grandson quilt but for a 20th birthday. He has been after me for a couple of years to make a Dallas Cowboys Quilt for him, so finally did, I copied their helmets design. He loved it and it is going on the wall in his college room. He knows now that he won't get another until college graduation. He says now that I better get the right fabric colors so I can start on his as he knows it takes months to hand quilt, those quilts... and his bother graduated a year before him. and I do have the fabric for that, and will be starting on it, when I finished piecing a wedding quilt... I try to have one I am piecing and one getting hand quilted... and I will slip a baby quilt or two in.... Thanks for looking..

Just wondering where you came up with the lettering for Cornell? I'm doing a football quilt with wording and haven't come up with a satisfactory easy appliqué technique. (I recently had shoulder surgery so need something really simple).
Both quilts are really special. Thanks for posting.

Well done...very inventive in using the helmet as a design inspiration!

Beautiful. I should have done something like that when my granddaughter graduated from Cornell last year.

Merry Christmas!
