She sure is pretty. Looks from the picture to be the Centennial year. The blue around the Singer plate is a dead give away. She sure is pretty. And you can prove it to me you were only going after a shuttle! Congratulations!!

Yep juliasb, it a Centennial badge, but the serial number has the allotment date of Nov 22, 1946

I did end up just ordering a shuttle and a bobbin from someone on line So I did find one, finally.

Thank you juliasb!

Thank you Tartan! I am quite excited! I'd never seen one in person before! So … a good price, the lowest I'd seen and she runs very nicely. I tried her out at the antique mall first. I haven't clean her yet either. That will come soon. I have 2 other machines pulled apart and cleaning them.

Who was it that said she thought she was only ever going to have one sewing machine, hmmm!

We told you so. Great find. Now look for a celery one. Singer took full advantage of the centennial badge and put them on for many years around the event.

Not me, and I'm sure you *never* did! I literally have to stop myself from turning Googling into shopping when I look up old Singers now. She's as cute as she can be -congratulations!
