Have you tried Terial Magic, the spray on stabilizer? It sounds too good to be true. Please share any experience, good or bad. Thanks.

I've used it a couple of times trying to get stiff enough to run through Silhouette Cameo without stabilizer. I don't think I've done it correctly for that though.

I would imagine it would help, depending on what you want to use it for. I used a similar product, Palmer/Pletsch Perfect Sew, many years ago to do a decorative stitched hem on some nylon tricot. I was very pleased with the product, but it was quite stiff when it dried. It washed out nicely and no puckers.

I have used it for cutting appliqué with a silhouette cutter. It really does make the fabric as stiff as a board if you saturate the fabric, let it dry, then press it. It will make a mess of your iron if you press it wet. I look at it as a specialty product, not needed for most quilting, but handy when you need some fancy decorative stitching.

I use it instead of starch or sprays most times. It only takes a little. I use a teflon pressing sheet so no build up on the iron. I bought a gallon of it about two years ago and still using from it. For crafters they saturate the fabric to get ridgid results. I spray a light spay and then press as usual. My piecing is much better with stiff fabric.

I've used it in place of a stabilizer for simple applique and thought it worked pretty good.

It might work for T shirt quilts, but I'm still going to use a fabric layer for the hankie quilt I'm planning. Good to know about a new product, though!

I have used it to make fabric cards and did a hands on demo at the local guild. They were fun.
