    Default "Sisters" quilt

I participated in a block of the month quilt-along last year with Aby Dolinger (http://abyquilts.blogspot.com). She offered patterns for a 12" block and a similar 6" block each month, hence the name "Sisters." I used a print with words on it to tie the scrappy blocks together, and named my throw "Encouraging Words." I quilted each rectangular section in a grid using my home machine.

That’s really neat, MKotch- I love the contrast between the different block sizes and your choice of fabrics makes all work!

Great finish...I would like the challenge of constructing the different size blocks. You did a wonderful job both with piecing and quilting.

Very nice! Was the layout part of the quilt along or did you design it yourself? Either way, it is very intriguing.

I love how all the blocks, though different, are still cohesive with the colors and layout you chose. I really really like this sampler quilt!
