Default Lemon curd vent.

I like lemon curd but it's hard to find. The brands I have found taste awful compared to homemade but I don't like making it and prefer to buy it ready made. I have found by adding fresh lemon juice to any brand makes it taste like my homemade curd. Some brands take a little juice some take a lot. Why not make it taste great in the first place! I guess a silly vent as vents go. LOL

You are so right. Nothing like a little bit of the real thing (juice) to pep up the dullest lemon curd. By the way, I love it too.

Does it have corn syrup? I'm absolutely amazed at how much better products made with cane sugar taste over products made with corn syrup. I have never cared much for ketchup, but started buying Portland Ketchup which is organic and has no corn syrup. It's delicious! Same for Hershey's chocolate syrup!

I try not to buy any product that has high fructose syrup or corn syrup. I read the ingredient list on any new product and have put many back on the shelf. Also cane sugar is much better than beet sugar especially in baking. A lot of organic items have too much other things I don't want in it other then corn syrup though. I do like organic dairy products.

I have made it before but I don't like to. I made it during covid because it was not to found any where. I did find a good tasting one before covid, got the last jar of it and have never seen it back in the store since.

Me too! I was surprised at how easy it is. You can even freeze it!
