Default New sewing space

Most furniture was sold before moving. Only kept machine cabinets. So this is the next step. Did lots of research to decide on tool chests with wood tops in white on castors for cutting and pressing counters. They’re from Home Depot. Now, all the tools can be put away. The last of boxes and totes will be gone. Out of the picture, the wall on left will be design wall. It’s 12 ft long. I design as I go so design wall is necessary. Everyone works in their own method. Also, I’m distracted easily so most things need to be stored out of sight.

Looks like a great way to stay organized and keep things out of the way. What did you store in them?

I have one of those cabinets on my wish list. I took a couple spools of embroidery thread to the store to see how they fit in the drawers. I'm thinking embroidery supplies and accuquilt dies.

Rhonda - I don't know if those cabinets would work for the accuquilt dies - they aren't supposed to be stored flat. I think it has something to do with "squishing" the blades maybe?

The drawers are still empty. I’m thinking pressing and cutting tools. Stabilizer, fusible. On the QB was a hanging template holder. Anyone remember it?
Also, put in fabric dyes and other fabric coloring objects.

I didn’t mean to sound snarky in my earlier post. I absolutely LOVE the cabinets. Wish I had room for one. So much storage!!

Those look great. You can never have too much storage when it comes to quilting.
