Default March to June 2023 Wall Hanging Swap

Welcome to our Wall Hanging Swap!

You have 4 months to make a wall hanging of your choice.
This is an anything goes swap. There is no theme.

Size and Type of Wall Hanging:
Smaller than a lap quilt but larger than a mug rug.
Use any technique/ any style / any colors.
Embellishments are a fun way to add to your wall hanging if you like

There is No Sign Up list

There is no deadline to sign up.
There is no commitment beyond having a Wall Hanging ready to mail by the end of June
So if you find you can't join in after all just save your WH til the next swap.
You can join in any time until the last day of June

You only need to have a WH ready to mail by the last day of the swap
The only list that counts is the Ready to Mail list at the end
of the 4 month swap.
You must be on the Ready to Mail list to receive an address to mail to

Ready to Mail list
Ready to Mail list will be posted the middle of June 2023.

This is not a partner swap.

I hope to be in. My Bestie asked me to make a small wall hanging for her birthday. I am thrilled that she asked but it does take time away and something has to give.

Hi. What kind of hanging sleeve is expected on the back of the hanging? Should a label be on it? I better go read a past wall hanging post. I saw the finished pictures from the Nov - Feb hangings and they are adorable! The birthday candy swap has me loaded with 2.5" candies and I am yearning for quilting time to play with something small and pixelated. I will be lurking!

There are no rules so anything you want to do is just fine. I don't limit the Wall hanging in any way other than size.
Most will put a label on it or send a card with the Wall Hanging. some will send extra goodies with the WH and some don't. It really is up to you whether you do a sleeve or not. There are other ways to hang other than a sleeve. You can put corners on the back corners and that can serve as a hanger. Whatever you like! Just have fun and enjoy the swap!
I hope you join us in June! You just have to have a WH ready to mail by the last day of June. And you have to pm me when you are ready to mail. I have to have a pm or you won't be on the list who gets an address to mail to.

Happy Quilting!! Rhonda

Thank you for the extra info, Rhonda! Let's see if I can get my time organized to get a project done by the end of June.

Actually you really don't have to put any hanger on it. When I hang a small quilt I use my stapler and staple all 4 corners to the wall. It makes such a small hole it is not harming anything. And it is the easiest way to hang something. I have used it for larger quilts to hang on a wall also.
So looking forward to seeing what you come up with ibex!!

Just dropping in to check on everyone! Hope your spring is bringing you warmer weather and beautiful flowers!!!
We've been in the 40's to 50s here in Iowa with lots of winds lately.

Hope you all are sewing away!! I made an eyeglass case for myself as I got new glasses. The gal at the eyeglass store wanted to give me a plastic eyeglass case. I said no thanks I'm a quilter I'll go home and make my own eyeglass case LOL She kept saying but they're free!! But I so much prefer the one I made. LOL Plastic case over a quilted one?? no comparison LOL
