    Default Virtual Quilting Weekend--May 12-14, 2023

Welcome to our monthly Virtual Quilting Weekend. I hope to get a lot done this weekend. I have several small things I could finish and of course, the constant cleaning/organizing my room needs! What are your plans this weekend? I hope you're able to join us and share what you're working on.

    Next month's VQW is June 16-18, 2023.

Thanks for hosting again Heather! I hope to make a few blocks this weekend, they are large 14.5 inch blocks and I am having so much fun making them even if each one takes about a hour to do. This is my summer project and has no intended recipient so no rush to complete, my goal is at least one a day. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on!

It's a bit more of a week goal than a VQW but....my husband is having a flea market at his club next weekend. I have an unclaimed but nice top in the closet. Pink and grey with stars.. I'm going to get it quilted and bound in time for the sale. If it sells - great! More $ to play with. If not...I don't know ...but we will see....

The snow has finally left! I uncovered my rhubarb two days ago. Been raking a bit and trying to fix the ruts and holes in my gravel driveway as this winter was warmer than usual and the ground did not freeze as much as usual. We broke a record for the snowiest winter ever since records with I believe 137 inches of snow. (Abit over 11 feet I believe) So, I want to stitch, but probably will be doing more yard work at this point.

Project Linus meeting tomorrow. Sit n Sew for 3-4 hours and of course show and tell Bringing 4 quilts to donate and plan to sew on a Disaplpearing 4 Patch quilt. Then when I come home need to work on a top from Jordan Fabrics... https://jordanfabrics.com/pages/diamond-trip Easy pattern and great one to use up odd jelly roll strips. Have to decide when I plan to attempt to clean up my sewing room. Maybe in the year 2024?

I’ve been working on finishing my Just Takes 2 quilt. It’s got 100 different blocks. I think I have almost that many. Have the top and left side sewn together. Working on filling the holes.

You are a busy bee Julienm1. I have never purchased a jelly roll. I put the diamond trip pattern on my bucket list.
It was simple to download the pattern. Thank you! Have fun at Sit and Sew.

I have a twin sized quilt basted and ready to quilt. Guild meeting tomorrow with a mystery quilt project. Fabrics are prepped for that. Also need to get some housework done before I get started.

Oh, this one came sneaking up on me, but I am never at a loss for projects to finish. I have been doing the Stash Buster Challenge from Boarder Creek Station and spread out my blocks and discovered that I really did not like the way they looked together. Drop back and make some additional blocks in order to move forward. That is my goal for the weekend. Make enough additional blocks to finish a 5X6 layout.
