It's roughly a 10 year old model. I think the current version is the S7. The steam generator style models (Laurastar Lift) are more often talked about, but they are also 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the board model like the S3.
I see them carried at many Bernina dealers, likely because both are Swiss companies.

yes- I ordered from allbrands instead along with the filter… wow those filters are expensive!!
