I usually melt a stick of butter for this cake. If you've never had it, try it! So easy, so yummy! Also, you can use other pie fillings if you don't like cherries. I made one with blackberry pie filling and French vanilla cake mix. Anything goes. A great recipe sewmuch! Thanks for reminding me about it!

Good idea to change fruit and cake mix, never thought of that. Its always a hit whenever I take to something. Easy and good. Melting the butter
good idea too. Always learn something new. :)

I make this recipe also, but mine includes a can of sliced peaches in syrup with the pineapple and cherry pie filling.

A big hit at the office!

I have this receipe in 3 slightly different versions which I ususally take bits and pieces from combine and make it all together. One calls for coconut. I put everything including the nuts in to begin with, bake 30-45 minutes and its done & yummy, too!
