I still have 7 and now fb suggests I upgrade to 8 as it will run faster / better.

Has anyone upgraded to 8? Any problems? Does it slow down your computer in other ways? My laptop is about 4 years old if that matters.

We downloaded 8 and have only had one problem with it. Most of our programs (like Microsoft Streets and Trips) have upgrades so we can run them on 8. We have one program we had to buy (TopoUSA) again because of the upgrade. I can't see any difference in 8...but then, I use the computer for basics...nothing fancier than adjusting the pictures to upload into forums.

The only thing I would worry about is if you have embroidery software. Will it work on the new Explorer 8?? :D

I usually wait for awhile before downloading their new versions...give them some time to work all of the bugs out :D:D:D

My daughter downloaded it and she had to call the Geek Squad to come. She lost a lot of stuff on her computer so I haven't tried it yet. I keep thinking it was something else but she doesn't have any problem with it now.

I always wait a year to try a new version, because there always seem to be so many bugs.
