I want to line some metal file drawers with freezer paper before storing fabric in them
These files are in an unheated garage in minnesota
Will this paper protect or harm my fabrics?

IIt's actually paper that has been run through sulfuric acidt's actually paper that's been run through sulfuric acid, leaving it just a really thick matrix of cellulose. Long story short, extremely thick paper without the wood pulp. Freezer paper is normal paper with wax applied to one
This was found with a google search. If it were me I would try to purchase some acid free paper that is used to store bridal gowns from a dry cleaners.

You left click and hold and drag on the text not showing up and it can be read. I think it has something to do with the background and text colors of the original when it won't copy and paste to show up.
Freezer paper has plastic coating now not wax. I haven't found wax coated freezer paper in any store.

If what you are wanting is more of a moisture resistant protection from the metal, I'd think freezer paper wold work pretty well with the coated side towards the metal and I wouldn't worry so much about being acid free or archival. Being in an unheated and non-air tight storage system, you may get some gradual mustiness but I don't think any yellowing. You might consider some sort of charcoal deodorizers like these

"Archival" storage options are usually pretty expensive. When I used cardboard boxes before my move, I did line the boxes with acid free/archival tissue paper because the acid level in cardboard is usually an unknown quality and depends heavily on what type of trees are used for the pulp.

I wouldn't store fabric in those conditions for very long.
