I was watching Love of Quilting last week, and Sara G. mentioned that she uses fusible batting all the time. She didn't say which brand (of course) or whether it was one-sided or both-sided. I'm wondering what other quilters use and recommend?
I love Quilters Dream fusible cotton, but it seems to come only in one-sided fusible. Hobbs 80/20 comes in two-sided fusible. I prefer cotton batting.

To be honest, I've never even considered fusible batting before because I've always used Warn and Natural and 505 spray. Why didn't I know of this before?? Only goes to show that I get stuck in my ways....LOL

I tried the spray glue but hate that it goes all over everything in the room. I quilt in my guest room and don't like the residue - just as Sara G. said on the TV show.

I use 505 and really don’t have trouble with overspray. I hold can about 6 inches above batting and move quickly using as little as possible. Works great and isn’t as stiff as I find fusible to be.

Even buying as needed, I'd be hesitant, as if it has been sitting in the store too long, the same thing might happen.
To me, 505 is more forgiving than the fusible.
If you want to pull back a section and realign, it's easy enough with the 505.
But with the fusible, once you hit it with that iron ... toooo late to change!
