    Default Resizing (reducing) block help?

Hello all, I haven't been online here in some time, but I'm in a quilting class at my church, so I'm getting my feet wet, so to speak. We're working on a twin sized quilt for a children's home, and it is being made of 10-inch blocks. Really a lot of fun!

I ran across a block on Pinterest, Woven Ribbons, that I really like and would like to make for our project. But its finished size is 12.5 inches. How would I go about reducing the size of this block to 10 inches?

I did a search on the forum, and found several links to helps - some links don't seem to work, and some ideas won't work for this, as I'm not just halving the size.

And math has never been my strength, so...

Yes, that's it! Sorry, I should've posted that link in my question. Oops.
I've drawn it out on graph paper; just can't quite wrap my head around it. But then, I'm taking cold meds, which I'm sure doesn't help.
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Yes indeed!! ... Graph paper is the best way to go.
Draw it out, as you would like it to be when finished, and sewn together in the quilt.
Then, be sure to add 1/4" to each side of each piece to allow for the seam allowances.

This block is in a 4x4 grid, so each section would need to finish at 2.5”. That means each width should start at 3”.

Colored strips should start out at 3 x 8.5. Then cut into 3" and 5.5". (3" square and 3"x5.5" rectangle)
Background strips should start at 3 x 12. Then cut into four 3" squares.
