2024-2025 Merry Mayhem mystery

I see the second clue is up this morning for the New Year’s Day mystery. I can’t find a dedicated thread this year, so hopefully this will start us off, and I will post my fabric selection later. You need to go to her website for the clues. https://www.merrymayhem.com/new-years-day-mystery-quilt

Yay! I’m working on it and was torn about starting a thread myself, so I’m glad you did.
I’m going to work on the HST today; I’ll post pics later.
I’m really excited about this one, as it’s the first time that I’m really dipping into my stash of “candies” from the 2.5” Birthday Candy swap, which I’ve been a member of for two years… so I have a LOT of candy on hand!

Yay, I am going to do this! Really I am. Later today I will dive in to pick my fabric, and get started. Saved parts I and II, because I KNOW, I will fall behind. So many projects to be finished, but who can resist a top that uses 2.5" squares. Let's just say I have waaaaaay more than what is needed for this mystery quilt.

These are always beyond my capabilities, but it's fun to see what other people are doing! I took a look at the first two clues; I have no need of patterns to use up my scrappy stash, so if I were going to do this, I would use just one light, one medium and one dark (even though she is recommending scrappy). I have one shelf full of larger pieces that were bought for borders or backings, but ultimately didn't work out.

Thanks for letting us know. I haven't made any of their mystery quilts but I do download all the steps though. Someday I might be looking for a quilt pattern and I'll go thru my folders to see what I have and then pick from one that's tweaks my interest.
